PALOMA ROSE GARCIA
@paloma
Paloma Rose Garcia is the founder of PALOMA Salon and one of Australia’s most influential voices shaping the future of hair. Now in its seventh year of business and home to a team of 16, PALOMA has become a benchmark for excellence, education, and modern salon culture. Paloma is deeply passionate about growing her team—both creatively and personally—with a strong focus on technical mastery, confidence, and continuous personal development.
Trained in Sydney’s elite salons and at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, Paloma has developed a signature cutting approach grounded in precision, informed by two decades of working with natural, wavy and curly textures, and elevated by her mastery of lived-in, wash-and-wear haircuts.
Her philosophy is simple: hair should feel effortless—air-dried, low-maintenance, and perfectly attuned to the individuality of the person wearing it. Suitability sits at the core of her craft, with a refined ability to read face shapes, enhance natural features, and create haircuts that feel both timeless and uniquely personal.
Alongside her creative practice, Paloma is a driving force in climate and sustainability advocacy within the beauty industry. For the past seven years she has championed environmental leadership, and five years ago founded A Brush with Climate—a first-of-its-kind initiative empowering hairdressers to bring climate awareness into everyday salon conversations. Working alongside a climate scientist and a social scientist, she has delivered a practical, hands-on two-hour workshop to more than 2,000 stylists across Australia.
Paloma believes hairdressers hold a unique power to spark meaningful conversations about climate change with their clients and communities. Her voice—featured in the Sydney Morning Herald, The Guardian, The Project, and leading industry platforms—continues to shape a more conscious, future-focused direction for the hairdressing sector.
Beyond her professional life, Paloma is deeply committed to raising her three boys in a modern, ever-changing world. Her passion for wellness, healthy eating, disciplined training, and daily self-care practices is woven into both her home and work life. She believes in modelling strength, resilience, and grounded wellbeing for her children—values that also guide her leadership, creativity, and the culture she builds within PALOMA.
